More Blackberry Tracker Updates

I just changed the entire layout and look of Blackberry Tracker. I think it looks much better than the old one and is easier to use. There have been small enhancements to the web application, and a new ‘tagging’ feature. Check it out.

  1. hey, all of the blackberrytracker links i’ve found on the internet seem to go to a 404 page (whether I use the beta, or bb server.)

Do you have a download link for us? My friend and I need to install this software in case our phones are ever stolen :)

    Looks good so far though
    Thanks!!!

    Hi Tommy,

The download page is back ;)

    http://bb.tech9computers.com/download/

  3. Awesome, We have it loaded on our phones- however, whenever we tried to log in, a textbox with 404 error data is printed out onto the display.

Maybe the hostnames need to be changed from beta.tech9 to bb.tech9 in the code, before compiling?

Thanks for such a fast response, you’re awesome!

It is actually just a DNS problem. The IP for bb.tech9computers.com changed and your cell carrier or BES server’s DNS hasn’t updated.

I’ve just run a proxy from my old server to the new one….so it should proxy it through. Give it a try and let me know.

You could also clear the DNS cache on your BES server if you use that.

  5. Yeah, no BES server. Oh yea, there is now a new error message popping up:

Error: An unknown error has occurred.

This is popping up aprox 3 seconds after requesting to sign in.

Alright try it one more time for me so I can see what this error is.

  7. There you go…

I’m also restarting my BlackBerry between retries

  8. chrismoos says:

Just fixed it. You should be fine now.

  9. Awesome… It’s logged in now. Are there any compatibility issues with the BlackBerry Curve that you know of?

There shouldn’t be…is the GPS not updating? Carrier?

  11. I just wanted to post that BlackBerryTracker now appears to be working perfectly for us. GPS interaction seems to be pefect, and our locations appear 100% correct on the web frontend.

Thanks to Tech9 for quality service, and software!
